Call for Abstract

You are warmly welcome to submit your abstracts. Please prepare your abstract(s) as a Word file (.doc) or Rich Text File (.rtf). Windows format is preferred. The Scientific Committee of the Meeting will determine the suitability of all abstracts after the submission deadline. Please e-mail it as an attachment to chinesemit2008@yahoo.com.cn

The deadline for abstract submission has been delayed till October 15, 2008.

A sample abstract can be downloaded from the meeting website and used as a template.

Guidelines for Abstract Submission

• Each abstract should be 1 page of A4 limited, single spaced, Times New Roman at 11 pt font, including title, authors, affiliations, text, figures, tables, and 2-4 references (showed in sample abstract).
• Title of the abstract: Bold Arial 14 pt, flush left. Do not capitalize the title except the first letter.
• List of the Authors: The first author1, second author2, third author3, using Times New Roman 10 pt, flush left, underline the name of the presenting author. Family name should be placed after the first and middle name.
• Author Affiliation: Including the author's institution(s), mailing address, use Times New Roman 10 pt, Italics, flush left. The corresponding author’s e-mail address should be only at the end of affiliations.
• Body of text: Times New Roman 11 pt. Insert a single blank line space between paragraphs.
• Please save your abstract using your surname and first name initial, followed by a hyphen and the meeting name i.e. chinesemit2008, e.g. Zhang, Zhong Hua's abstract would be "zhang zh-chinesemit2008.doc(rtf) "
• E-mail your submission as a “doc” or “rtf” attachment to: chinesemit2008@yahoo.com.cn

Selected Oral Presentation Instructions

• All oral presentations will be given 8-10 minutes followed by 3-5 minutes of discussion.
• Only PowerPoint presentations are accepted.
• The PowerPoint presentations should be saved on a CD or USB memory stick. Speakers are not expected to use their own laptop because this may take time to set up in many cases. If you are using a MAC computer please contact us before submitting your presentation.

Poster Presentation Instructions

• Posters dimensions should be no larger than 90 cm in width and 120 cm in height.
